I have been looking at bumpers for a while now and can't make my mind up. Any suggestions?

Well there is a few questions to ask yourself; what's your take on:
Price?
Weight?
Stubby, mid width, full width?
Bull bar, stinger, nothing?
Already powder coated or raw?
I think Ace makes a great " out of the box " product for the price but their bumpers are heavy.
Other great options are Poison Spyder, Nemisis, GenRight, metal cloak, EVo.

JCR mid width is what I just got. If you can answer any of the above questions we would be glad to help narrow your choices.

Another thing to consider is what kind of winch you want to run. I wanted a warn powerplant (just cuz I thought it was neat). That limited my choices quite a bit. The problem with the powerplant, is that it is wide. Nice to have the on board air, but there are other ways to get onboard air without the powerplant. Just something to think about.

I'm thinking about going with the rugged ridge stubby bumper with the double x striker bar on it

Good looking bumper. My full width bumper has saved me more than once hitting trees in tight spots. Can't quite see the front of the passenger factory fender. Had it not been for the full width bumper, the fender would've hit the tree.

Haha that's how I decided on many of my mods.
Glad to see that you went with the stubby, I witnessed first hand in Missouri how a mid width was a hindering piece of equipment when it came to trying to climb a wall! The tire was unable to make the necessary first contact with the obstacle even at an angle causing damage to the bumper.
JCR is nice also! Good choice.
